Effective date: 6th October, 2020
1. The contract between us
We must receive payment of the whole of the price for the goods that you order before your order can be accepted. Once payment has been received by us we will confirm that your order has been accepted by sending an email to you at the email address you provide in your order form. Our acceptance of your order brings into existence a legally binding contract between us.
2. Ownership of rights
All rights, including copyright, in this website are owned by or licensed to Rock Box Records Limited (trading as The Rock Box Record Store). Any use of this website or its contents, including copying or storing it or them in whole or part, other than for your own personal, non-commercial use, is prohibited without our permission. You may not modify, distribute or repost anything on this website for any purpose.
3. Accuracy of content
We have taken care in the preparation of the content of this website, in particular to ensure that prices quoted are correct at the time of publishing & that all goods have been fairly described. However, orders will only be accepted if there are no material errors in the description of the goods or their prices as advertised on this website. Any weights, dimensions & capacities given about the goods are approximate only.
4. Damage to your computer
We try to ensure that this website is free from viruses or defects. However, we cannot guarantee that your use of this website or any websites accessible through it will not cause damage to your computer. It is your responsibility to ensure that the right equipment is available to use the website. Except in the case of negligence on our part, we will not be liable to any person for any loss or damage which may arise to computer equipment as a result of using this website.
All orders are subject to acceptance & availability. All titles listed on our site are either in stock in the shop or, to the best of our knowledge, are available from one of our suppliers. If the title you have ordered is in stock in the shop, we will endeavour to send it to you straight away.
If, however, we need to order the title in from our supplier, this may add additional days to the order process which are dependent on the individual supplier’s turnaround time. If something you’ve ordered is out of stock or otherwise delayed, we will notify you as soon as we have further information. You may then amend your order if you choose.
If we discover that any of the titles you have ordered are in fact deleted or otherwise unavailable, we will email you promptly & credit you for the relevant title. Any other titles in your order will be sent & charged as normal.
Pre-orders: The system will not allow you to mix pre-orders with standard stock. It should also now treat each pre-order item as a separate order. However, if the system has previous allowed (or now erroneously allowed) you choose to mix pre-orders together which have different release dates, the system will consider them as one order and calculate postage accordingly.
In that case, we can offer two options:
- Wait until all titles have arrived and send as one order
- Send individually & charge additional postage accordingly
6. Ordering errors
You are able to correct errors on your order up to the point on which you click on “submit” during the ordering process.
The prices payable for goods that you order are as set out in our website. All prices are inclusive of VAT at the current rates & are correct at the time of entering information. Wherever it is not possible to accept your order to buy goods of the specification & description at the price indicated, we will advise you by email, offer to sell you the goods of the specification & description at the price stated in the email & will state the period for which the offer or the price remains valid.
8. Payment terms
We will charge your credit account for payment upon receipt of your order unless delivery cannot be fulfilled within 30 days. We accept no liability if a delivery is delayed because you did not give us the correct payment details. If it is not possible to obtain full payment for the goods from your account then we can cancel the contract & or suspend any further deliveries to you. This does not affect any other rights we may have.
9. Delivery charges
You will be required to pay extra for delivery & it might not be possible for us to deliver to some locations. Delivery charges vary according to the type of goods ordered & cannot be refunded. These are set out on our website.
10. Acknowledgement & acceptance of your order
You will need to provide us with your e-mail address & we will notify you by e-mail as soon as possible to confirm receipt of your order & e-mail you again to confirm details. An acceptance of your order will take place on dispatch of the good(s) ordered.
11.1. We will deliver the goods to the address you specify for delivery in your order. It is important that this address is accurate. Please be precise about where you would like the goods left if you are out when we deliver. We cannot accept any liability for any loss or damage to the goods once they have been delivered in accordance with your delivery instructions (unless this is caused by our negligence).
11.2. We will aim to deliver the goods by the date quoted for delivery but delivery times are not guaranteed. If delivery is delayed due to any cause beyond our reasonable control, the delivery date will be extended by a reasonable period & we will contact you to arrange an alternative time.
11.3. Orders are dispatched by Royal Mail services & overseas orders ship via Airmail. Standard Royal Mail domestic & international services are not tracked & offer no compensation for loss. If you’d like your order shipped via a trackable service in the UK, please select Royal Mail Tracked 24 or 48, or Special Delivery Guaranteed by 1 pm as your shipping choice. If you want an overseas order shipped with tracking, please select International Tracked (or International Signed where Tracked is not available).
11.4. Estimated delivery times: UK – 2 to 4 business days from date of posting; Rest of Europe – 4 to 7 business days from date of posting; USA / Canada – 7 to 14 business days from date of posting; Rest of The World – 7 to 20 business days from date of posting.
11.5. Customs Formalities: Customs declarations, where applicable, will be marked with the value of your order. Please do not ask for packages to be marked as ‘gift’ or at a lower value. You are responsible for any customs charges. The Rock Box has no influence over how long your order might be held for processing with the customs authorities in your country.
11.6. Unreceived orders: Once the estimated delivery time has passed (see above), please check in the first instance that your package is not being held at your local postal sorting office. The Royal Mail in the UK are supposed to leave a notification card but as this is not always the case, please check with your local sorting office first. For a package to be considered officially “missing”, it needs to be have been 15 (UK), 20 (Europe) or 25 (rest of the world) business days after the posting date. If your package is definitely missing, please email firstname.lastname@example.org quoting your order number & we will get straight onto sorting it out for you.
11.7. Undelivered packages: If a package is returned to us as an unsuccessful delivery due to an incorrect address being provided, it not being collected from the sorting office or for any other reason beyond our control, you will be expected to pay the additional postage for redelivery.
12. Risk & ownership
Risk of damage to or loss of the goods passes to you at the time of delivery to you, or if you fail to take delivery at the agreed time, the time when we tried to deliver. You will only own the goods once they have been successfully delivered & when we have received cleared payment in full. Goods supplied are not for resale.
13. Cancellation rights
Should you wish to cancel an order that you have already checked out, please email us at email@example.com. We will action this for you & refund you accordingly. You are entitled to do this up to 7 days after placing the order. However, please be aware that as we turn orders around as quickly as possible, in some instances we may not be able to respond to your request before we have posted the order to you. If the goods have shipped before you cancel your contract then you must send the goods back to our contact address at your own cost & risk
In these instances, we would ask that you follow the returns procedure below.
